Introducing Clark Estate Agents

We recently changed our name back to Clark Estate Agents, drawing on our long history in real estate.

In many ways, we’ve come full circle.

A short history of Clark Estate Agents

Our beginnings were humble. We started Clark Estate Agents in 2011 out of our two-bedroom flat in Waterloo. We developed a loyal following of clients, many of whom still buy and sell with us 10 years later.

In 2016 we made the decision to work under a franchise brand to help grow our business. But we really wanted to work independently and provide a boutique offering that focused on providing the very best service to our local area. So, now in 2021, we’ve reclaimed our identity and returned to our roots as Clark Estate Agents.

We have a long personal association with this area, having lived here for more than a decade, and worked here for even longer. We know how diverse the people in this area are, and it’s one of the things that make this community so vibrant and engaging. That’s why we offer a personalised service to all our clients – we know that one size doesn’t fit all.

We look forward to helping our clients – past, present and future – with their property journey. From buying a first home to upsizing, or finding the perfect tenant for an investment property.

We’re also proud that it’s our name on the front door and we aim for client satisfaction in everything we do. In fact, accountability is one of our core values.

A team in partnership

While our name may be on the sign, teamwork is vital to our success.

We offer both sales and leasing services and our team members have decades of experience. Diana and Brendon Clark are joined by a first-class team of sales consultants and property managers.

Combining our strengths lets us offer our clients the best service and the best real estate advice. It also lets us keep our finger on the pulse of market trends.

A changing area

One of the most significant trends is the fact that we live and work in a rapidly changing part of Sydney. We have been selling in the area for 15 years and we have grown with the area and also the community.

Thinking of selling?

Just researching the market?

If we compare data from the 2011 and 2016 Census, we can see that Waterloo is changing before our eyes. It’s grown from 6,060 dwellings to 8,056 and from 10,657 people to a population of 14,616. And we know the next Census will show further growth.

Our area has been transformed from an industrial centre to a buzzing residential area, full of bars, cafes, shops, new amenities, restaurants and apartments. Urban regeneration around Waterloo and Green Square is set to continue, with big projects and new town centres planned.

Back in 2012, you could pick up a house in Waterloo for just $710,000 and a unit for $569,000. According to realestate.com.au, the median house price sat at $1,060,000 in March 2021 and the median unit price was $838,000. Rents are equally strong, with units currently leasing for an average of $600 per week, and houses $700 per week.

A changing industry

It’s not only our area that has changed. The real estate industry has been completely transformed in the past few decades, with technology making it easier to do our job. Gone are the days of newspaper ads and a shop front with pictures of property listings.

Technology has been pivotal in allowing us faster and easier communication with our clients. From email campaigns to targeted social media ads and even AI, we’re reaching more clients and more efficiently matching people with property. The pandemic has fast-tracked further changes – from online auctions to virtual home inspections.

All this has combined to not only made it easier for us to do our jobs from any location but it’s also changed the very way we do business. We may be entering a new future, but relationship building and customer service is at the heart of everything we do – in fact, it’s what we are known for.

We love helping our clients achieve great results so they can ultimately have more choices in life.
We have helped people buy their first one-bedroom apartment and later on helped them buy a family home. Because of our long-standing relationship with the community we see people come full circle.
